The PDF annotation tools supplied with OS X are fine for basic tasks, but if you need to add notes, highlights and more to your documents, Acrobat XI Pro is the way to go.

After you download Acrobat XI Pro, launch the app and accept the license agreement. Then click Continue.

The program installs in two parts: A stand-alone Adobe PDF Printer for printing files to a PDF printer, and the Reader application for opening documents.

The installer sets up both printers automatically, but if you want to use the Adobe PDF printer for other purposes, you can set it up manually.

A Simple Guide to the Opacity Slider in Procreate

We've all seen posts about creating depth, perspective and using lighting to create depth in an image. I'm not going into that here as it's been covered extensively elsewhere (and I'm still a novice at it myself). This is simply a guide on how to use the opacity slider to help you with your shading. The procreate app has an opacity slider that allows you to fade the shading to white or black, creating a much more dynamic image. It's simple but it can be quite effective.

What is Opacity?

Think of opacity as the transparency of an image. It's basically the opposite to transparency. When you have no colour on a layer, you are seeing all the layers below it. If you have 100% opacity, you are only seeing the white background behind your image and nothing else is visible through that area. If you have 0% opacity then your work is completely transparent and a white background will be visible through your work. This can be used to create a sense of depth - if you have a figure standing with their back to us, for example, you might have them at 100% opacity so we see them as being solid and in front of the background.

Shading Techniques

There are two ways you can use the opacity slider with your shading. The first is to fade parts of the shading away so they are visible through behind other objects in an image. This can give a nice effect where, for example, your main focus might be on the figure standing in front but their shadow falls over another object behind them giving it more depth. You can also use it in this way when lighting objects.

The second is to fade the opacity of an element in your image so that what's behind is shown through it. This is very effective for showing skin through clothes, hair through skin, et cetera. It's also great for fading the background of an image to white or black - this can help create depth and perspective as well as just creating a striking work that stands out from others.

Different Shadows and Shading The settings you use will depend on the effect you want to create. For example, if you want to fade the background behind your work to black or white then set your opacity slider to 100% and it will disappear. If you use a lower setting such as 80% then we can see that something is there but we can't quite make out what it is - this gives us a sense of depth. You can also use this sparingly on your shading to create a similar effect.

How to Change Opacity in Procreate

Open Procreate and click the "+" in the layers palette to create a new layer. You can also do this by touching two fingers on the screen at once (or double tapping if you are using Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity).

Select Layer Fill Type. Set it to "Shape." This will make your layer shape-based instead of using an image. You can also use this in conjunction with imported images but it's easier to do it this way for now.

Adjust the opacity slider on your new layer to fade your shading in or out. I usually go for something between 70% and 80%. If you are using a gradient, you will want to switch back to Layer Fill Type to Image so you can control the opacity of that too.

The nice thing about using shape layers is that you can now modify all sorts of things to affect just your shading or your gradient - if you are fading objects to white, for example, you could also adjust the layer's colour fill by sliding it to blue or something similar. This will not affect your image at all, it will only change the view of your shading.

If you want to change things later on then it's very simple. Just click the "+" again and create a new shape layer and you can continue changing opacity until you have perfected your image!

3 Ways To Get The Best Armor in Skyrim

Skyrim embodies the idea of "collecting" perfectly. One main reason for this, other than it being an RPG, is cause you can upgrade almost everything you get by using it. While some armors are only there to look cool, others actually have stats which will help your character survive. And so begins the hunt for the best armor. From early on in the game you have an idea of some of the best stuff, or "endgame" armors - or what you can get if you're a high level with a ton of money.

This guide will show you three ways to get the best armor available without being a massive high level character or having to resort to the console. These methods are not extremely time consuming so enjoy!

What is the best armour in skyrim

Something is one of those skills that you can put some points into and just forget about it. There isn't much rig out there where putting a point in something will make you an instant badass - but this is one of them! If you aren't familiar with the skill, it allows you to upgrade existing pieces of armor (similar to enchanting) by using ingots, leather strips and other materials. The end result is usually an increase in defense, making it worth the trouble.

The best armor in Skyrim is the Daedric Armor, which can be found by defeating a powerful enemy

Dremora. Having Daedric armor will make killing anything in the game easier, giving you better defense and more power for your enchantments. The only downside is that it's pretty expensive to upgrade this stuff past level 15. This method requires some backup gear, but if you can get them, Full Dragonscale Armor/Boots/Gauntlets can also be incredibly powerful. They require a total of 8 scales and 2 dragon bones to upgrade each piece, so it's cheaper to get the Lord Armor set from Whiterun - it only requires 1 scale per item.

There are three ways to get the Daedric Armor - find it, buy it from an NPC, or create it yourself

First, the easiest way is to find it. I would hope that you know of a place in Skyrim known as Yngvild, which houses the tomb of the necromancer named Arondil. All his stuff is yours for the taking once he's dead - including his Daedric armor. The second way would be to buy it. If you're playing the game on Xbox 360 or PS3, then this will cost you - even if you have all your Speech levels maxed out. You can find it in a place called The Best Defense for about 23k. PC players can go to Belethor's General Goods in Whiterun and get the Daedric Armor for 20k, and the helmet for an additional 3k - this is the easiest way to get it if you don't want to risk dying.

Find a crafting station and begin creating your own armor using the materials you have on hand

As you level up the blacksmithing skill, your chances to successfully upgrade armor increases - making this method even more efficient. Each piece of Daedric Armor has a difficulty of "Expert" so make sure you've got some points in Smithing before attempting this one!

Something else that's kind of important is your smithing level. You can't do anything without some blacksmithing knowledge and if you're legendary in smithing, then it's a piece of cake.
